On 18 June, a Field Day was hosted by Alfredas Bardauskas on his CNC farm in the Raseiniai district, attracting 23 LAAS advisors.
Bardauskas demonstrated his expertise in managing diverse soils with low pH, drawing on years of experience in soil liming, particularly using lime by-products from sugar production. The farm operates under minimal tillage and integrates purple clover as a preceding crop to enhance soil structure, fertility, and crop yields.
The farm also participates in the 2024 project trials, which evaluate nutrient uptake efficiency across CNC farms. These trials have provided Bardauskas with detailed data to further refine his fertilisation approach, balancing crop nutrition with long-term soil health.
