NUTRI-CHECK NET Releases Nine Policy Briefs to Support Smarter Crop Nutrition Across Europe

The NUTRI-CHECK NET project has published a full set of Policy Briefs summarising key insights, national learnings and recommendations on crop nutrition management from each of the nine partner countries. These briefs are now available on the project’s website, providing policymakers, agricultural advisors, researchers and farmers with accessible guidance to support evidence-based decision-making and policy development.

The nine Policy Briefs, one for each participating country, are now accessible via the Policy Briefs section of the NUTRI-CHECK NET website. They cover national contexts, challenges, tools and policy options to enhance precision nutrient management:

  1. United Kingdom – ADAS
  2. France – ARVALIS
  3. Greece – AUA
  4. Poland – CDR
  5. Portugal – CONSULAI
  6. Netherlands – DELPHY
  7. Lithuania – LAAS & LAMMC
  8. Denmark – SEGES
  9. Ireland – TEAGASC

Each brief synthesises key project results and national insights to support evidence-based policy decision-making and accelerate the adoption of effective nutrient management practices that can deliver economic, environmental and agronomic benefits.

Driving Knowledge to Policy

The Policy Briefs form part of a broader suite of project deliverables designed to drive uptake of best practices, tools and decision support systems for crop nutrition across diverse agricultural contexts. By consolidating local evidence and stakeholder input, they provide clear, context-specific recommendations that policymakers and practitioners can use to inform national and regional strategies.

The production of these Policy Briefs reflects the collaborative spirit of NUTRI-CHECK NET’s multi-actor approach, which blends the expertise of farmers, advisors, researchers, and national stakeholders to identify both barriers and opportunities in crop nutrition management.

Access and Next Steps

All nine Policy Briefs are publicly available on the NUTRI-CHECK NET website under the Policy Briefs section. These resources are expected to contribute to ongoing dialogue around sustainable nutrient use, support development of national policies aligned with climate and environmental goals, and offer a practical roadmap for scaling precision nutrition management in European agriculture.
