WP1 Update | National Expert Groups and Best Practice Selection

In May, SEGES Innovation hosted a partner workshop in Aarhus, Denmark, bringing together 18 participants from across Europe. The workshop marked a key milestone in the NUTRI-CHECK NET project, as partners collaborated to review and refine the shortlist of best practices collected through both the Crop Nutrition Clubs and National Expert Groups.

From an initial pool of over 200 practices, the group successfully narrowed the selection down to 21 high-potential examples. These will form the basis for the project’s final recommendations on sustainable nutrient management in agriculture.

The workshop fostered valuable exchanges of experience and perspectives, strengthening collaboration across the network and setting the stage for the final phase of the project.

Next steps will involve working with the 21 Best Practices in the National Expert Groups to ensure the list is co-created by multiple stakeholder groups. On 16 September 2025, representatives from each National Expert Group will gather for a final online workshop to agree on the ultimate list of best practices.

Stay tuned for more updates as we approach the final outcomes of the project.
