Polish Advisors Explore Practical Fertilisation Tools at NUTRI-CHECK NET Workshop in Radom

On 24 July 2025, as part of the NUTRI-CHECK NET project, a specialised workshop was held at the CDR branch in Radom (Poland), focusing on the practical application of fertiliser programmes. The training brought together agricultural advisors and experts to explore how digital tools can support both regulatory compliance and more precise nutrient management.

The event spotlighted new features and solutions in Polish fertilisation planning applications, which are used across three main areas:

  • Regulatory compliance in line with the Nitrates Directive, to calculate nitrogen-based fertiliser use;
  • Eco-schemes and subsidies such as carbon farming and Integrated Plant Production, where rational fertilisation planning is rewarded;
  • Practical on-farm use enabling accurate and data-driven fertiliser application.

A key guest at the workshop was the developer of the widely used KIEDROWSKI fertiliser application. In his presentation, he delved into:

  • Fertilisation planning based on herd turnover and the volume of organic manure produced,
  • The calculation of nutrient requirements,
  • Real-world usage of the app, including tracking economic events.

Interactive Session: Evaluating Best Practices
During the event, advisors were also asked to evaluate and rank the most useful Best Practices identified in the NUTRI-CHECK NET project. A total of 25 completed questionnaires were collected, offering valuable insights into which sustainable practices are most applicable and impactful in the field.

The workshop was highly appreciated by attendees for its practical orientation, combining regulatory understanding with hands-on digital solutions for smarter fertilisation.
