CNC Video from Delphy Highlights Slurry Application Breakthrough

A new CNC video released by Delphy showcases innovative slurry application techniques in maize cultivation. Ice de Wals, part of the arable farming team in North‑West Netherlands, guides growers through the NUTRI-CHECK NET project, where conventional and organic farmers collaborate to share knowledge and test tools in practice.

With stricter fertilisation limits and reduced arable land, maximising yield per hectare has become critical. The video demonstrates how slurry applied directly in the row during sowing combines fertilisation and planting in one pass. Research confirms this method boosts nutrient efficiency: nitrogen and potassium uptake rise by 25%, while phosphate efficiency doubles.

The CNC video emphasises that such practices not only increase yields but also improve nutrient use efficiency, offering a sustainable path forward for Dutch agriculture.

NUTRI-CHECK NET continues to encourage farmers to test and adopt these tools in real‑world conditions.
