Work Package 2 is making significant strides in capturing and showcasing crop nutrition tools and services on the Nutri-Check Platform. The task involves taking inventory of advisory systems, research results, and commercially available tools that support informed farm nutrient decision-making. The foundation of this inventory was laid in 2024, and development is ongoing, ensuring that all tools and services that help farmers make better fertilization decisions are represented.
To keep the platform comprehensive and up-to-date, NUTRI-CHECK NET partners are continually updating and adding entries. We invite all companies offering a tool or service for crop nutrient decision-making to check our platform.
In addition to these updates, WP2 has actively engaged with the farming community through key events. On January 21, 2025, the NUTRI-CHECK NET National Potato Day was held in Emmeloord, Netherlands. This event, attended by over 180 participants, focused on fertilization strategies, soil improvement, integrated crop management, and robust varieties for future-proof potato farming. It underscored that both fertilization and crop protection require a systems-based approach.
Further extending our outreach, NUTRI-CHECK NET was represented by Delphy at the Carrot Day in Emmeloord on February 13. Visitors had the opportunity to discuss fertilization optimization directly with our advisors and Crop Nutrition Club facilitators, and were encouraged to explore the Nutri-Check Platform for additional resources.
